Soft Flower Cream Review

Complete Soft Flower Cream Review

I got a message request from interested users who want to use the Soft Flower cream/lotion and want to know if it’s a good lotion. So, I thought as much to write a deep, complete review of this lotion for everyone interested.

Please read this review completely as I took my time to go deep on it; I also talked to customers who have used it and contacted the company for more information on this lotion.

About the Soft Flower Cream

The Soft Flower is a very affordable lotion made in Nigeria by Divine Crown Ltd. They are into the production of skincare products, specifically lotions. The company has an active Facebook page for this product where you can message or drop them a comment on any questions about their products. And the good thing about this company is that they usually reply after a few hours of messaging them.

Types of Soft Flower Cream

There are two types of soft flower lotion:

  • Soft flower Extra Moisturizing & Lightening (Green Bottle)
  • Soft flower Fresh Whitening Cream (Pink Bottle)

Soft Flower Cream Ingredients

  • Trichloro carbonamide
  • Niacinamide
  • propylene glycol
  • lrgasa
  • Tinocare
  • Tinogard
  • Castor oil
  • Silicone oil
  • Rose water
  • Natural extract
  • Lanate wax
  • Metil paraben
  • Stearic acid

Surprisingly, the green and the pink types of soft flower cream have the same ingredients. (I discussed this below).

Is Soft Flower Cream a Bleaching Cream?

No, it’s not. There are no bleaching ingredients listed on the ingredients list.

Soft Flower Cream for Fair Skin

The soft flower extra moisturizing & lightening (green bottle) is good for fair or light skin tones.

Soft Flower Cream for Dark or Chocolate Skin

According to the producer, the soft flower fresh whitening cream (pink bottle) is recommended for dark skin tones.

Is the Soft Flower Cream a Good Cream/Lotion?

From the ingredients list and the information I gathered from users who have used and are still using this lotion, majority of them said it, okay on their skin. According to them, the lotion is good for their skin and doesn’t react on their skin. I also like that it contains castor oil, which can help moisturize the skin. Thus, the lotion seems like a good lotion, but I have a few concerns about it. Here is my honest opinion of this lotion.

  1. Label Errors

The first thing I noticed when checking out the lotion was the confusing ingredient label. For instance, instead of “Niacinamide,” they wrote “Niaccinnamide,” instead of “Tinogard,” they wrote “Tinoguard,” and a few other mistakes. In fact, I still don’t know what “lrgasa” means even though I have done deep research on it.

I found it very difficult to understand what was written on the label. It might be a manageable problem for some people. Still, considering this is a product people use on the skin, this mistake might need to be clarified for interested users who want to understand the true meaning of the ingredients on the lotion label. I hope the company will take note of this and correct those errors.

In addition to this, they also didn’t tell us what particular “natural extract” is used in making this lotion since there are so many natural extract in the skin care industry.

  1. Identical Ingredients

According to the company, the soft flower lotion comes in two types: the green bottle is for light skin, while the pink bottle is for dark skin. Typically, since dark skin and light skin are not the same, the ingredients used in making them shouldn’t be the same, but unfortunately, in these lotions, their ingredients are just the same; nothing changed.

I guess this could be another labeling error, or the company doesn’t want to list their ingredients (like I always say, be careful of products that are not transparent with their ingredient lists).

  1. Confusing recommendation for dark skin

When I contacted the company about the best soft flower for dark or chocolate skin tone, they said they recommend the soft flower fresh whitening cream (the one on the pink bottle) for dark skin tone. Now, this is somewhat confusing because, on the labeling, the pink bottle has “whitening” written on it while the green one has “lightening” written on it.

Some people might assume that the green one is for dark skin since it only has lightening written on it. While the pink one, which has whitening on its labels, is for fair skin tones. Honestly, it isn’t very clear.

Now, even if it does whiten the skin, what are the exact ingredients in it that whiten the skin? Niacinamide is known to brighten the skin and not whiten it, and it takes a long time to see any lightening effect on the skin when using any niacinamide product.

Does Soft Flower Lighten the Skin?

Yes, soft flower lotion can tone the skin. The combined niacinamide, rose water, and stearic acid can give the skin a brighter complexion.

Can You Use Soft Flower Lotion on the Face?

No, do not use this lotion on your face. This is a body lotion and is not recommended to be used on the face. Also, if you have acne-prone skin, the silicone oil in it is not good for the face because it can clog your pores and trap things like bacteria, dirt, and sebum in your skin, leading to pimples.

Does Soft Flower Lotion Have a Soap?

No, this lotion does not come with soap.

Soft Flower Lotion Benefits

  • It does tone the skin
  • The tinogard stabilize the cream package from UV lightening
  • It’s affordable.

Soft Flower Lotion Side Effects

  • The ingredients are not straightforward.

If you notice any negative skin changes when using this lotion, please stop it immediately.

How to Use the Soft Flower Lotion

If you still want to use this lotion, here is the best way to use it.

  • It’s best to use this lotion with either a goat’s milk shower gel of your choice or moisturizing soap or shower gel.
  • Use it both in the morning and at night.
  • I would also advise you to use body oil along with it because even though it contains castor oil, it still won’t be enough to moisturize your skin. Here is a list of glowing body oils to choose from, or just choose any one of disaar body oils if you’re on a budget.
  • In the morning, use a body sunscreen since it contains no sunscreen.

Price of Soft Flower Lotion

It costs about ₦1500- ₦ 2000 in Nigeria. This depends on the location you’re buying it from.

Where To Buy Soft Flower Lotion

You can get it in cosmetic stores. However, the best way to get the original is to contact the company and ask them for their distributors in any location in Nigeria and outside Nigeria.
